School Closure Notice – Greenstone Region - April 29, 2026

All schools in the Greenstone region, including Beardmore, Geraldton, Nakina, and Longlac, are closed today, April 29, due to an ongoing power outage.

While restoration was anticipated overnight, timelines have continued to shift later into the day. As a result, schools are unable to safely operate at this time.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates should circumstances change.
