MMPS Closed Oct 8 and 9
Marjorie Mills Public School Update (7:20 p.m. - October 8, 2025)
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Anishinabek Police Service (APS) have advised that the investigation in the Ginoogaming First Nation remains ongoing, and a shelter-in-place advisory continues to be in effect.
As a result, Marjorie Mills Public School will remain closed on Thursday, October 9, 2025. All student transportation involving Longlac and Ginoogaming is also cancelled for the day.
The safety and security of our students, staff, and families remain our top priority. We continue to work closely with police and local authorities and will provide updates as new information becomes available.

Out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with local authorities, Marjorie Mills Public School will be closed today, Wednesday, October 8, 2025. This decision has been made in response to an ongoing OPP public safety advisory affecting the Ginoogaming First Nation and Longlac areas.
All student transportation involving Longlac and Ginoogaming is also cancelled for the day.
The safety of our students, staff, and community remains our highest priority. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as police continue their investigation. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as information becomes available.
